This pen is NOT made from a petroleum based plastic. While it looks and performs like traditional plastic stick pen, it's not petroleum based at all. It is composed of Wood (or cotton) based Cellulose Acetate polymer and plant based plasticizer. The wood in the polymer is sourced from domestic certified sustainable forests The plasticizer is produced from (non-genetically modified) grape seed oil. You'll swear you're using a plastic pen, but you're not! We hope to make the term "disposable pen" a thing of past. We're asking our customers to save their used Eco Ballpoint pens after they run out of ink. Then send them back to us. We'll make sure they are recycled again to make new pens !
